Mark your calendars and join us in a very special Pelofondo training stack this Saturday January, 15, 2022 at 9am EST in honor of our very own Zara Harding who will be having major surgery on January, 20th and will be off the bike for some time.
Stack the rides (no sessions), ignore the call outs, and ride at an all day pace. If you can’t make all of the rides then please hop on for at least one and show Zara some support.
Here’s Zara’s story in her own words: “I got my Peloton bike in August 2020 and never looked back. I’ve earned a blue dot every day since, not letting chemo, radiation, or even surgery keep me off the bike for more than a day or two at a time. I owe a debt of gratitude to this community for all of the friends I’ve made who have inspired me to keep riding, celebrated milestones, and had hands on my back through a long year of Cancer diagnosis and treatment. I’ll miss riding with everyone for 6-8 weeks as I recover from major surgery, but will still be around getting blue dots through meditation, stretching, and slow walks on my new Tread when the doctor says I’m allowed. I’ll also be here to celebrate all of you, as being a cheerleader is one of my favorite things! Lastly, I would like to remind you all to please get your routine health screenings! I had no family history of colorectal Cancer and almost no risk factors, so I’m glad I trusted my gut and went to the doctor.”
We will be riding with Ben’s Peloton Army as well (it’s how Zara and I originally bonded over our love of Ben and his climb rides).
Please ride with the hashtag #ForZara, wear BLUE (color for colorectal cancer awareness), and please donate to Zara’s charity of choice if you’re able.
If you haven’t signed up for Pelofondo yet, what are you waiting for? Register with the Streakers at https://pelofondo.com.
If you can't make this ride time you can also catch Zara on Matt's live ride at 8:00am ET where she will be celebrating her 1,000 ride! - Don't for get to wear blue!
